About the Executive Command

The Executive Command’s function is to carry out the agency’s critical mission: To enhance the safety and protect the trust of Harris County residents by acting with integrity and professionalism. Their shared commitment to support the mission and vision of the agency is central to the way they lead.

Members of the Executive Command assist the Sheriff in the management of the agency through their experience, expertise, diverse perspectives, and commitment to the community. They lead from the front and put public safety first by promoting proactive peace-keeping efforts aimed at reducing crime and addressing unique community needs, implementing innovative initiatives and approaches that build trust, and upholding the agency’s five core values.
